Competition

The following is written in response to a post that was made on my facebook page.

Richard stated, “I don't pretend to know everything about anything, but any third party would eventually become just like the other two parties, if it was even considered! Too much corruption in politics!”

I respond:

Richard, in the two-party-duopoly, you are exactly right!!  And if the Constitution Party (of which I am the national vice-chairman), were to simply replace the Republican Party, I think you are right that it wouldn't be long and it would be as corrupt as the two major parties are now.

Q:  Outside the U.S. Constitution, what is the single most important principle that made America the greatest nation to have ever existed upon the face of the planet?

Stufflebeam for Governor - Campaign Prayer

Stufflebeam for Governor - Campaign Prayer
Campaign Prayer Stufflebeam for Governor

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done; on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Father, we pray for those whom you have put into positions of authority within our state and our country.  We ask that you direct their hearts and their minds in upholding the values and virtues that once were considered good.

As we believe our cause is just and that You have called us to take a stand, we ask that You:

Are merciful to us, Lord. Give us a humble heart and remind us that we are Your servants and the servants of the people of Illinois. Protect us from the enemy who would seek to destroy our efforts. Grant to us wisdom in facing the issues that come before us. Move the hearts of men and women to support our efforts with their talents, treasure, and especially their time. Help us to maintain integrity, courage, and honor in all that we do.

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory forever, Amen!

Russians Hacking U.S. Elections - Updated

Washington Associated PressUS official says Russia undoubtedly meddled in US electionBy RICHARD LARDNER and EILEEN SULLIVAN, January 5, 2017

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/5/top-us-intelligence-officials-to-testify-on-russia/

Of course "ALL the attention is on Russia."  It's just like our government throwing us another red-herring.  Don't get me wrong, "Russia" hacking into the systems is VERY egregious and maybe warrants a response against what could be considered “an act of war. However, ultimately, Russia, isn’t the problem. What - IS - the problem for me is the fact that it exposes the fact -THAT IT CAN BE DONE.  And even more important is what the information is that's been leaked.  Here a video clip explaining exactly what I mean.

PRESS RELEASE - Randy Stufflebeam Announces Early Entry Into Governor's Race

On Thursday, December 15, 2016, @ 1:30 P.M., in the Press Room at the State Capitol, Randy Stufflebeam announced his candidacy for the 2018 race for Governor of Illinois.  Guided by his strong connection with and fidelity to both the federal and state constitutions, he chose this date to make the official announcement of his gubernatorial campaign because this was the date in 1970 the current Illinois State Constitution was ratified.

Born in 1960 in Chicago and raised in a small town in Illinois, Randy received his formative education in both public and private schools. In 1980, Randy joined the Marine Corps, swore to an oath, and spent the next 22 years of his life supporting and defending our Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That oath he swore to meant something very special to him.

After his retirement from the Marines in 2003, he became painfully aware that the most dangerous enemies of the Constitution were of the domestic type and were more of a threat to his country than any foreign enemy he had ever faced as a marine. Consequently, politics entered his life. His plan is to bring back an authentic constitutional consciousness to Illinois politics and fight for the faithful support of its Constitution in all areas of state government. This is his mandate for the people of Illinois. In order to do this Stufflebeam has chosen to represent the Constitution Party to communicate his message.

Randy has been the Chairman of the Constitution Party of Illinois, Chairman of the Midwestern United States Region, and Vice-Chairman of the national party.  He ran for Governor of Illinois in 2006, receiving a record breaking 19,020 officially recorded votes as a write-in candidate.  In 2010, he ran for the U.S. Senate, where the opposition, through their General Council, was able to keep him off the ballot by rejecting enough signatures to stop his campaign just 65 signatures short of the required 25,000.

Most legislators, he believes, ran and got elected for the right reasons but found that their hands were tied by the corrupt machinery.  This candidate says it’s time to think outside the box, and "the box is the left-right paradigm that was surreptitiously designed long ago to keep us forever fighting, forever limiting beneficial accomplishments, and forever divided". Noting the problems with unfunded pensions out of control, a 13 billion dollar deficit, increasing layoffs and unemployment, and families too often unable to support themselves, Randy believes it’s time to do something different.

Press Release - Announcing the Announcement

For Immediate Release

December 13, 2016

On Thursday, December 15, 2016, @ 1:30 in the Press Room at the State Capitol, Randy Stufflebeam will be announcing his run for the 2018 race for Governor of Illinois.

The primary reason for the selection of this particular date is that it on this day in 1970 the current Illinois State Constitution was ratified.  It is because of his strong connection and fidelity with both the federal and state constitutions that he chose this day to make his official announcement of his gubernatorial campaign.

Randy was born in Chicago and raised in a small town in Illinois.  In January of 1980, joined the Marine Corps and spent the next 22 years supporting and defending our constitution against foreign and domestic enemies.  It wasn’t long after his retirement in 2003 that he discovered that the domestic enemies of our constitution is more vile and evil than any foreign enemy we have ever faced.

An Open Letter to Conservatives - Updated

Not-Dumb-Enough

My name is Randy Stufflebeam.  I am a retired Marine, with over 22 years of honorable active duty service to my country.  I am the only husband to the only wife in a marriage of over 36 years.  I am father to three and grandfather to four.  I was the National Vice-Chairman of the Constitution Party (2012-2016).  I am the Constitution Party Chairman of the Midwestern United States Region and the Chairman of the Constitution Party of Illinois.  Most importantly [for the purpose of this letter], I am a Constitutionist.

Most would consider my political views to be “conservative” and many in our day of national (im)morality, would consider my views to be extreme.  However, I believe my views to be in align with those of our founding fathers and central to the  framing of the Constitution of these United States of America, which gave rise to our country becoming the greatest nation to have ever existed on the face of this planet.

In November, 2014, the Republicans captured the majority of both the House and the Senate.  Many are celebrating this as a victory.  I’ve learned over the years to NOT HOLD MY BREATH.

I watched closely after the elections in 2010 to those people who were considered “Tea Party Candidates.”  Without exception (I can take you down each and every one of them), ALL of them have caved in to voting for some unconstitutional legislation or another.

Over the past 40-50 years, generally, and the past 16 years. specifically, liberty in this nation has been in a tailspin with a certainty of crashing soon (just how soon, I don’t know) and it has not mattered one iota the mixture of Democrats and Republicans --> whether or not there was a majority in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, or both; and whether or not that majority enjoyed a president from the same party or not.

Bipolar Disorder

b2ap3_thumbnail_Bipolar-Disorder.jpg

Here's the deal in 7 parts:

Part 1 – WHO'S IN CONTROL

Before I even get into the Bi-Polar issue, the first thing you need to understand is that you REALLY don't know who controls the Republican and Democrat parties.

If there really are that many conservatives in the Republican Party (especially here in Illinois), how is it that you consistently elect people like Topinka and Rauner? Do you REALLY think it is the voters of Illinois?? If the Republican Party really is made up of a majority of conservatives, then why, pray tell, is it so hard for you to elect an actual conservative, first within your own party through the primaries and secondly in a General Election (Hold your “RINO” diatribe, I’ll address that below)?

To be honest (and I always try to be), I do believe that those who hold to "conservative" values (even here in Illinois) actually outnumber those who hold to "Liberal/Progressive" values.  The problem is that most have realized that their conservative voice has been squashed by those who are actually in control of the two-party-duopoly ( and yes, this includes the Republican Party).

A Mental Disorder

MentalDisorder

Years ago, talk show host, Michael Savage, wrote a book called “Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder.” While I don’t entirely disagree with his premise, I’m beginning to think it is more of an infectious disease and that conservatives are falling victim to the disorder as well, though maybe displaying slightly different symptoms.

Consider this:

Every election, conservatives, and in particular, Republicans, will put up several candidates who for the most part could be considered outstanding conservatives, yet, who gets elected? The person who is about as close to the liberal side of the fence that you can get.

Let’s take a look a three specific elections that will exemplify what I’m saying the best:

The 2006 Illinois Republican Primary: You had Jim Oberweis, Bill Brady, Judy Barr-Topinks, Ron Gidwidtz, and Andy Martin. The order of conservatism from most to least (in my opinion) was Bill Brady, Jim Oberweis, Ron Gidwidtz, Andy Martin, and then Judy Barr-Topinka. Now doubt, Topinka was the worse and yet she was the one elected. In fact, I believe she was actually more liberal than Blagojevich and you know where he is right now.The 2012 Republican Presidential Primary: While there were almost 20 candidates at some point or another, you had Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Huntsman, Paul, Perry, Romney, Santorum. While I’m not going to try to discuss the order of conservatism among these.) , suffice to say, “It wasn’t the most conservative that got elected.” In fact, in my opinion, the worst of them all got elected. The 2014 Illinois Republican Primary: You had Bill Brady (for the 3rd time), Kirk Dillard, Bruce Rauner, and Dan Rutherford. While there was certainly some competition for who was the most liberal, Rauner won the primary.

While there were certainly others, these are probably the most in your face examples. Now here’s the deal… Every time the most (or almost most) liberal candidate gets elected by the “conservative” party, there’s the same old song and dance:

Have You Had Enough?? - Part 2 (2012)

Had Enough 2

Dear Friends, Family, and Fellow Constitutionalists;

As you all know, I just wrote a piece two days ago asking, “Have you had enough, yet?” Quite honestly, I thought I had more than enough evidence to make my case in asking you that question. Then I started thinking, “What if??” What if by some miracle there might actually be enough conservatives to prove me wrong?  Then I thought, maybe, just maybe I should have waited till after the Illinois Republican Party convention to make such a bold argument and ask the question, “Have you had enough yet?”

Then today, I get an email with “Illinois Railroad at the IL GOP Convention June 9 2012” in the subject line, and that contained a link to a video clip of the “vote” for delegates to the Republican National Convention, which totally destroyed any second thoughts that I had and completely vindicated my question.

Have You Had Enough?? - Part 1 (2012)

Had Enough 3

Dear Friends, Family, and Fellow Constitutionalists;

I know the messages have been sporadic at best and I apologize for that.  To say that I have been busy for the past several months (actually years) would actually be an understatement.  So, first of all, I’d like to catch you all up as to what is/has been happening lately.  As some of you know, recently, I ran for Chairman of the Constitution Party.  I was not elected as chairman, but I WAS ELECTED AS VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONAL CONSTITUTION PARTY.  I am honored to be working with awesome patriots and constitutionalists.  Frank Fluckiger of Utah was elected as Chairman, Cindy Redburn of Missouri was elected as Secretary and Jim Headings of Tennessee was elected as Treasurer.

Secondly, I would like to thank you for all your support over the past several years as I ran for Governor and U.S. Senate as a constitutionalist.  The support of such fine patriots as you has meant the world to me.

This year we do not have a governor or senate race, but my work is not done.  The reason I ran was to bring true conservative leadership to Illinois. That goal still eludes me, but the pursuit is nonetheless worthy and probably even more so, given recent events.  My focus has always been to develop a strong and vibrant constitutional party, a place where true conservatives can find a home when they realize that their party has left them no other place to turn to.
